Victoria Inn & Gardens was a part of a land grant given to one of Jean Lafitte’s pirates who helped save the city during the Battle of New Orleans. It is located in the town of Jean Lafitte on a lake created when the Mississippi crevasse of 1927 inundated the plantation’s fields. The houses are a recreation of South Louisiana’s Creole Plantation homes. The inn has operated as a 14 room Bed and Breakfast and Special Event Venue since 1993.
