Reception with Cajun Band
We'll invite your guests to follow the bride and groom
to one of our majestic
oak trees,
where the local Justice of the Peace, a Cajun himself,
will
officiate in this time honored tradition.*
He can then proceed to the traditional exchanging of the
vows.
A bridal bouquet of garden flowers and organdy ribbon,
A wedding cake with a keepsake top layer,
A reception filled with friends and great Cajun food.
All to the sounds of a live Cajun band.

* In years past most small Cajun
communities had to wait weeks or even months
for a visiting
Clergyman or Judge; so a tradition arose to solve this problem.
A
couple would gather family and friends, hold hands and jump over a broom.
This was considered Legally Binding until a proper
rite could be performed.
